My friend swears by it for acne. She puts it on her face all the time. Does that, uh, work? Is i bad to do?

I use it for spot treatment. It works better then any fancy schmancy stuff I have bought. I would never put it all over my face though. It would strip natural oils.

it will work, but it will dry your skin out terribly.
Have you spoken with your doctor. I had terrible chin acne up until last year. I finally talked to my doc and he gave me topical meds and it worked Fantastic. I don't even need to use it now. my face is sooo clear.
    I used benzeclin.

It does dry your face out. Witch Hazel works just as well and it's not as drying. I have oily skin, so not much bothers me.

that's kind of harsh for your face.. although some can handle it..

in the past i have used noxema acne care i forget the actual name... it's kind of a peach colored scrub in a smallish bottle, it works amazingly, i got my sister to use it and it cleared EVERYTHING up. Just be careful if you go out in the sun or tanning, it will make your face BURN it has salycilic acid in it so it makes your skin more sensitive to the rays.

i also found that having a good regiment and not switching your face creams and face wash works well.
For instance I have oily skin so 1. i always was my face in cold water it doesn't strip the natural oils as much so i don't produce that much during the day. 2. i've been using the same cleanser for like 2 years and that is very helpful anytime you switch you normally have to have a 2 week-to 2 month adjustment period where you could break out more. Same for my moisturizer same one for awhile now. I also wash my face 2x a day once at night once in the morning.

I used to use it when I would break out. And like others said for spot treatment. It worked awesome to dry out all the gunk inside.

It worked for me! I didn't use it all over my face, just certain spots, but it really dries your skin out like crazy. And it burns
