white pants.....?

I am planning on going out with some friends tonight (to a bar to two) and I was wondering if wearing white pants would be ok?

Also, DB is going to a Mess Night and his OSO-(officer selection officer) is going to be there and they are all going to the same place my friends and I are going, after dinner and awards and what not.

I want to look good, but was curious how you all felt about white pants. (I'm fairly thin and they fit perfectly--not too tight or anything ridiculous--just wondering if its too early?)

too early, i think...plus i'd be worried about them getting dirty in that environment. i have a couple pair of white capri's & i just wear them to work.

white pants are fine....why wouldn't they be? I thought the whole white and labor day thing was decided old fashioned and no longer applies.

White pants is just asking for trouble, especially at a bar. I would stick with something darker.

I wear these pants all of the time during the summer time, I'm just curious if its too soon?

not saying you'd be sloppy...ya just never know about the environment...like if the stools or booths are nasty & you sit in something, or someone else spills on you.

yup, bar environment and white pants just don't click. you could be the most careful person ever, you just never know! i, on the other hand would never ever wear white pants just for that reason. too scared if something happens! lol
