look into making sure he filed a quick claim deed to get his name removed from the deed.

usually no- not if his name is not on the loan,
but I woiuld still do the quick claim deed to be safe.

Can you call up the mortgage lender and make sure he is no longer on the loan? Ugh, I would choke her! hahaha

If he's no longer on the note than there's no liability. If she is currently in foreclosure and you haven't rec'd any paperwork requesting payment than that should be a good indication.

Call a local title company as ask about getting his name off the deed. I would think that bank would need a clear title/deed in order to foreclose.

I would assume if there became an issue over it (My parents had to take my mother completely off the house, so they wouldn't come after my step-dad for medical bills when she got help from the state for her cancer care.... so Im not sure... he may still have some obligation)... Anyhow.. I believe that his divorce decree would clear him of any obligation. It would be best to see if he can get his name off it completely, but if its already in forclosure, im not sure the would be willing to take his name off, if he does indeed has any financial obligation... if that makes any sence...

Also even if his name is on the mortgage and she lets it foreclose it wouldn't affect your credit.
