Question?
628...Is that a bad or fair score as far as a credit score goes?
 Yeah, I screwed up when I was younger and had to pay off some credit cards but I have NO idea if this score is totally awful or what. So, help?

Not great, not horrible. Should increase with time as bad items drop off after 7 years. Don't forget to get a free copy of your report any time you get rejected for credit. Use the opportunity to make sure report is accurate.

I really wasn't sure how that rated. I figured it was just an OK score but nothing in the GOOD range, kwim? Just wanted to know if I was correct! And, yes, I did recently get my free credit report for the year.  Everything is there that should be. Thank you!

Where do you go to get your free credit report for the year? I don't want to use any of those freecreditreport.com things b/c I heard they charge you if you aren't careful.
