My husband is wanting a divorce. He is in the army--I think he is E4. How will they go about figuring his child support for 2 children. He told me that he will lose about 1100 a month if he gets a divorce and that child support will be like 300 a child? Is that right??

There are too many variable to be able to give you a straight answer. Best bet, have your lawyer figure this one out.

It depends on the state your filing with. My exDH pays 18% of his gross income. He gives me $400/mth for 1 child(that is actually less than it should be but he's getting out the Navy soon so it will even out).

A definite answer is impossible! That $1100 could very well include spousal support.

It depends on your state and their guidelines. In texas its 20% for 1 child then 5% for each additional child after that of his net income.
He will continue to receive Dependent BAH regardless if he is married because he has dependents ( the children) so don't let him trick you into thinking he won't.

It depends...he can't really say right now. Is he trying to intimidate you from seeking child/spousal support and BAH? If so, don't listen to him.

He shouldn't be worrying about losing jack, he's got two children to SUPPORT.

This kind of surprised me too. Not being snarky AT ALL, but how long have you been married?

I also wanted to say that I'm sorry you're going through this. I've heard that divorce is very difficult.
