We use USAA. I know people on here have said they've had problems with them but I personally have never had a problem with them.

majority of all insurance companies offer military discounts. Geico and USAA are more angled towards the military but other companies offer the same discounts.

I don't personally like Geico. But In Virginia I think you can use Erie. They are somewhat higher than some but not too high--in the middle--and they are WONDERFUL. They get right on your claims, I had to have my glass fixed once and they came right to my work to do it in our parkinglot! Another time I had hit a deer and done some significant damage; they filed and worked out the claim within two days. I love them. I don't know if they have mil discounts but they, for us, were waaaaay cheaper than anything except Geico. They have a lot of other discounts you might qualify for like multiple driver, safe driver, no accident, homeowners, etc. Also, if I'm not wrong (I might be it's been awhile since we got a ticket) but I think they will forgive your first ticket with them so your rate won't go up till #2.

Thanks...I'm looking into everything.
But, as of right now...my current insurance is going to be the cheapest. I get all kinds of discounts 'cause I've been with them for 7 years. I just thought I might be able to find something a little cheaper. Kinda sucks...'cause I feel I'm paying too much. Oh well...It'll go down in May 'cause my wreck comes off & DH turns 25 (which is when you become an adult, for insurance purposes). |
