Schedule C question

I am trying to file my schedule C from 2008. I have a few things to list a deductions from my starting a business, but I am so lost with it. I didn't take much income in last year because I didn't get my license till the end of December, and was doing only portfolio work prior to that. Can you help? Thanks.

i just don't know how it works to claim deductions, no profit, and to do it in turbotax with our regular taxes

Hoestly when I had to file schedule C I took it to a professional. I brought every receipt, my records, etc. It was my first year (and only) time doing it and I did not want to miss anything.

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer, but every time I read this in the main forum section I think it says "Schedule C-Section" and I was wondering wth there was a post about scheduling c-sections in the financial section.
