    VA Disability?

    Advertisements
Does anyone here know what kind of timeline we are looking at for DH's disability claim? He finally has his medical exam next week, and all his paperwork is finished and submitted, and I'm hearing all kinds of conflicting numbers. Anywhere from 3-24 months!

My ex-husband has his medical exam soon, too. We've been wondering how long the entire process takes.

No. The very most I would get is 10% if it's not 0%. I'm just not that concerned about it.

It also depends on the part of the country your in. San Diego has a large population of vets that stay here after AD...

Yeah that's a good point. I guess if it takes 18 months, oh well. DH isn't like suffering badly right now from any service related injuries but he is expected to get 30-40%, from what he was told by the CalVet people.

Mine took 4 months but that was a few years ago. Things are pretty slow thanks to the govt shut down and a lot of vets applying. Hang in there.

DH started the process in SA and was given a timeline of 60 days to 18 months. The latest update is May-October 2014.

If it isn't during a med board expect at least a year. Especially now that they are behind due to the shut down (short but still put them behind).
