    International Schooling + GI Bill?

    Advertisements
Does anyone know if the GI bill covers international schooling?

I live in Canada and my boyfriend in the US. He just retired from the army, wants to go to school for a trade, and we want to be together. So we were wondering if the GI bill would cover 100% for him to go to school here in Canada, including all the international fees or what have you.

Any info would be much appreciated

Pretty sure they do. Best thing would be to call the VA.

Welcome to the GI Bill Web Site | The Home for All Educational Benefits Provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs

That link has the information he would need to determine if it is possible for him, and where.

The Post 9-11 GI Bill will cover some (or most) of the tuition. It's got a yearly cap of like 17K so I guess it depends on how expensive of a school your DB picks. The school also has to be accredited (not sure how that's determined). It will NOT cover fees like getting a student visa.
