ok so DH and I are coming to Chicago for a visit (my first time ever, well except for layovers) before driving down to Frankfurt Indiana to visit his family. I know it will be hotter than heck but I will deal.
Anyway we will be there 8/29-9/1 in chicago and his birthday is 8/30 I want to make it special any suggestions? We love going out to eat but since it's his day It will need to be a nice steak house
(preferably not a chain) or some amazing pub or just seriously anything you feel is the best meal EVER then obviously we would love to go see some bands play (indie rock, jazz, grungy blues etc) or hang out/go out around town but not really the dance club type of people
OH we are staying on E Delaware Pl between N. Rush and Michigan Ave. but have no problem using public transpo or taxis
PLEASE offer up any suggestions since all I can get ahold of is super trendy touristy info and that's not really our cup o tea.
