Question about Sticky Buns...

I want to make some sticky buns for breakfast in the morning - but they have to rise twice, and I don't have that kind of time tomorrow. Does anyone know if I can make them tonight, and throw them in the fridge overnight for the second rising, to slow it? I know that the coolness will retard the rising, but is it okay to leave them for that long? I have never made them before, and yeast breads in general aren't my strong point (yet, anyways!) so I'm a little unsure.

Thanks for any insight you ladies may have!
